The Earth is pretty cool. You like living on it, most times. So it seems only natural that you'd want to protect it from deteriorating. It's selfishly motivated, really. That's what Earth Day, April 22, is all about. Celebrating can be as basic as taking a minute to appreciate the calm of an urban park or as elaborate as throwing a dinner party that pays tribute to the season. When it comes to hosting a party, there's no better way to thank Mother Nature than to eat the stuff she provides. That's how Sara Gilbert, co-host of The Talk on CBS, plans to celebrate. Gilbert, who's vegan, picked these three Chowhound recipes as Earth Day's perfect party dishes. And because we just can't leave it at that, we're suggesting a few more dishes for the day's celebrations.
