Savory Cheddar Waffles

Who doesn’t love a good awards show viewing party—when it’s combined with an even better party spread? When Hollywood hands out a few statues for TV’s best this Monday night, we’ll personally be chowing down on these dishes and throwing back some cocktails, all inspired by this year’s potential Emmy Award winners. Follow this guide and you and your crew can too.

“Silicon Valley” — Sparkling Pomegranate Punch

First thing’s first—you’ll want to break out the bubbly! You should always have a few bottles of sparkling wine on hand for any Emmys party. For the fourth consecutive year, the stars will toast to the greatest night in television with Ferrari Brut, and so should you. Whether you serve it straight up, paired Italian style with parma ham and mozzarella, or mixed as part of a cocktail, it’s the ideal way to celebrate all of the night’s hopeful winners like the guys in “Silicon Valley.” The HBO series, nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, is a fan of bubbly too…its ever-changing title sequence memorably added Amazon drones delivering champagne to a rooftop party for season three. Get our Sparkling Pomegranate Punch recipe.

“Westworld” — Braised Brisket with Beans and Ancho Chile

If you’re one of the 10 million viewers that are now obsessed with HBO’s “Westworld,” now in its second season and nominated for a whopping 21 Emmys—including Outstanding Drama Series, you’ll love how this recipe will transport you to the Wild West and right into Sweetwater. Host robot or human (but, wait, can the robots eat?!), saddle up to the bar at the Mariposa Saloon before heading to the Coronado Hotel and digging in to this braised brisket with beans. Serve with small buns for an ideal party food. Get our Braised Brisket with Beans and Ancho Chile recipe.

“Atlanta” — Easy Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

“Lemon pepper wet?!” may be words Atlanta residents are very familiar with, but the flavor and the phrase didn’t enter the pop-culture lexicon of those outside of Georgia’s capital until the second episode of Donald Glover’s “Atlanta.” The FX hit is nominated again this year for Outstanding Comedy with Glover up for his second Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award. The quotable moment made the wings the show’s signature dish…and do wings as a party food ever really go out of style? Get the recipe. (But add sauce to make them wet.)

“Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” — Shrimp Egg Rolls

Shrimp Egg Rolls

Damn Delicious

“And yes, there is shrimp in the egg rolls…” jokes Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan, who is herself nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series), sending her Jewish wedding into pandemonium. The bombshell is dropped within the first five minutes of the show’s premiere and sets up “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”’s love affair with food—and is the first of many references to Chinese food. The Amazon original series, from the creator of “Gilmore Girls,” won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series–Musical or Comedy earlier this year and is up for the same award at the Emmys. Get the recipe.

“Stranger Things” — Savory Cheddar Waffles

Eleven loves herself some Eggos. Elevate the frozen breakfast-aisle staple for your watch party with these Savory Cheddar Waffles. Your guests will love snacking on the finger-food treat as they wait to see if “Stranger Things” nabs the award for Outstanding Drama Series and if Eleven’s Millie Bobby Brown takes the Supporting Actress in a Drama crown. Get our Savory Cheddar Waffles recipe.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” — Vanilla–Salted Caramel Ice Cream Cake with Whipped Cream

“The Handmaid’s Tale,” last year’s Outstanding Drama winner, is once again up for the night’s top award—and 19 others. As the show wraps and the final trophies are handed out, we’ll be digging into this salted-caramel dessert inspired by Hulu’s dystopian series. Because amazing salted caramel might just be “better than sex…like good sex,” as Ofglen (Alexis Bledel, who is also up for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series) said in the show’s very first episode. Get our Vanilla–Salted Caramel Ice Cream Cake with Whipped Cream recipe.

“The Crown” — The Crown Pink G&T

The Boston Globe

Every good watch party needs a good classic cocktail…or two. This simple blush-colored gin and tonic is inspired by Netflix’s “The Crown,” the series based on Queen Elizabeth II’s life and reign—up for Outstanding Drama Series. It’s no secret that the longtime monarch loves a good gin cocktail…as many as four a day, in fact. The Crown Pink G&T’s pink hue comes from the Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic. It trades the flavors of the Queen’s choice of mixer, Dubonnet Rouge—a fortified wine infused with herbs, spices and quinine—for vanilla, pimento berry, cardamom, ginger, angostura bark, spice, and citrus. Get the recipe.
