A Cheesecake for Every Month

This is not a drill. I repeat: THIS IS NOT A DRILL! July 30th is National Cheesecake Day. You know that episode of Friends where Rachel and Chandler devour a cheesecake off of the floor of a New York City apartment building, asses triumphantly in the air? Total biopic of my life. Seriously, National Cheesecake Day is my Christmas—and what’s Christmas without a gift? So, in honor of this most glorious and legitimate of holidays, I present to you a cheesecake recipe for every month. This truly is the gift that keeps on giving. No need to thank me. Enjoy these cheesecakes at a party, by yourself, or just eat it off your apartment building’s floor if you want to. It’s a holiday, after all—go nuts!

Or, make this in your pajamas and eat the whole damn thing yourself while you watch 13 Going on 30. That’s what I’d do. Get our Strawberry Cheesecake recipe.

May: Orange-Vanilla Ricotta Cheesecake

Chowhound

Who doesn’t love an orange Creamsicle? When it starts to get warmer in May, all I can think of is the tangy orange flavors mixed with the sweet vanilla. Also, did you guys know that May 4th is National Candied Orange Peel Day? There’s a holiday for everything, apparently. The fact that I have Creamsicles on the brain and that there is a holiday for orange peels makes May the perfect month to bake this orange-vanilla ricotta cheesecake. It’s the perfect combination of the best cake and the best ice cream, and now suddenly I can’t wait for May. Get our Orange-Vanilla Ricotta Cheesecake recipe.

December: Eggnog Cheesecake

Chowhound

I LOVE December—mostly for the holiday-themed foods and drinks, but still. When December finally rolls around I always run (a little too fast) to Starbucks for an eggnog latte, because eggnog is delicious and underrated. So, I’m devoting an entire cheesecake to eggnog. The gingersnap crust brings the whole thing together; it’s like eating Christmas. If you’re really passionate about the holidays like I am, you could crush some peppermint candies and sprinkle them on top of the cake. Enjoy this by the fire in your fuzziest socks. Get our Eggnog Cheesecake recipe.
